Shake, Rattle and EARTHQUAKE

Yes my friends, it was an earthquake.  And it woke me up.  And when I first awaken, I’m in a fog.  I awoke to hearing a rustling or cracking sound around me.  My first thought was, “There’s an army of critters that have come to get us for what we did to one of their own!  Quick, save the kids!”  My next thought was, “This is it! A tornado is ripping our roof off!  Quick, save the kids!”  Then I was truly awake and said to DH, “What is that?”  He said an earthquake and in a really weird way I was thankful.  That seemed to be a much better scenario that an army of critters or a tornado ripping off our roof.  Earthquakes here are not like ones in California.  I know they’re not to be poo pooed.  It’s an incredible force of nature that is not to be reckoned with.  Bottom line is, we’re all fine, so that’s the thing on which to dwell.  Oh!  And if you think my first thoughts were random, let me share one more.  I exercise @ 5am 3-4 times a week with a friend.  This morning was supposed to be one of those times.  DS #3 woke up and was a bit shaken himself and needed his mommy to lay down in bed with him.  He was holding me as tightly as you can with one arm in a cast.  I knew I wouldn’t be getting away to exercise this morning.  (I think the excitement gave my heart a pretty good cardio workout.)  Anywho, I called my friend to tell her and of course we had to discuss the earthquake.  I told her my initial thoughts and she said she thought Jesus was coming.  Now, I am not mocking that thought because that would be just fine with me if He came.  I know where I’m going, baby, and it’s with Him.  And if he would have come this morning, I wouldn’t ever have to worry about excercise, or a lot of other things again.  I’d be dancing and singing in His glory!  Amen.

Blessings & Hugs, Elizabeth
